Just when we think there is a light at the end of the tunnel with Covid vaccines nearly ready for distribution, facilities are facing another major concern — labor strikes

Across the country, LTC staffers are threatening to go on strike and many are actually doing it. On November 23rd, close to 700 staffers walked off the job in the Chicago area. Workers from 11 different facilities went on strike, citing multiple grievances, including fear of Covid. What can facility owners and operators do to avoid a strike from happening? Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation recommends these five labor negotiation strategies:
