The CDC recently developed a Nursing Home Communication toolkit to assist care professionals in explaining how and when antibiotics should be prescribed. The toolkit is an opportunity to open lines of communication between providers, residents and their family members. It comprises a four-part communication strategy and offers two nursing home-specific scenarios applying these principles.
