A: Vaccination may be delayed up to 3 months from symptom onset or positive test (ifasymptomatic). Individuals at higher risk may consider earlier vaccination.

Q: Are additional doses recommended?

A: Adults 65+ are eligible for a second 2025–26 COVID-19 vaccine dose, given 2–6 monthsafter the first. Moderately or severely immunocompromised individuals may receive anadditional dose at least 2 months after their last updated vaccine, based on providerguidance.

Q: Do vaccine brands need to match?

A: Adults may switch between Moderna and Pfizer. Children 6 months–4 years may receiveModerna’s Spikevax only.
