The Roanoke Tribune recently highlighted SpecialtyRx’s continued growth with the opening of a new regional pharmacy in Roanoke, Virginia.

The approximately 11,000-square-foot facility is SpecialtyRx’s 15th regional pharmacy and strengthens the company’s ability to support long-term care communities throughout Virginia and the surrounding region. The location will initially serve approximately 1,500 patients, with capacity to support more than 10,000 as demand grows.

Facility partners will have access to SpecialtyRx’s comprehensive long-term care pharmacy services, including 24/7 pharmacist support, emergency STAT medication delivery, same-day IV services, and technology that helps improve visibility into prescriptions, deliveries, and communication with pharmacy teams.

For co-founders Joel Zupnick and Chesky Berkowitz, the Roanoke expansion reflects SpecialtyRx’s commitment to combining national capabilities with responsive, locally focused service.

As noted by the Roanoke Tribune, the new pharmacy also represents an investment in the local community through new jobs, expanded healthcare infrastructure, and greater access to pharmacy support.
