SpecialtyRx has expanded its long-term care pharmacy network with the opening of a new regional pharmacy in Roanoke, Virginia.
The approximately 11,000-square-foot facility strengthens our ability to serve skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, rehabilitation centers and other long-term care providers throughout Virginia, West Virginia and neighboring states. It also provides a foundation for future expansion across the surrounding region.
By establishing local pharmacy operations in Roanoke, we can provide faster medication fulfillment, more responsive deliveries and closer coordination with the care communities we serve. The location offers comprehensive long-term care pharmacy services, including 24/7 pharmacist support, emergency medication delivery, same-day intravenous medication services and technology that helps facilities track prescriptions and communicate securely with our teams.
The pharmacy will initially support approximately 1,500 patients, with the capacity to serve more than 10,000 as operations grow. The expansion also represents a long-term investment in the Roanoke community through new employment opportunities and increased access to specialized pharmacy services.
